Q. What is TopSoccer?
A. TopSoccer (“The Outreach Program for Soccer”) is an amazing program! It opens up the game of soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. It started small, as a grassroots effort by parents with a wonderful vision. Then US Youth Soccer nurtured it. Now it is becoming one of the most widely praised youth sports programs in America.
Q. How are the games played?
A. We try to divide teams by the ability to play and understand the game. Each team will have a group of “buddies” playing with them as well. Our buddies are volunteers that range any where in age from 10 to 60. The buddies try to keep the game moving and help the players understand and play the game.
Q. Is there an age limit?
A. No, we will have games for all age children & adults.
Q. When and where are the games played?
A. All games will be played at the Freedom Ridge in Ridgeland. We will play games at 9:00am and 10:00am starting on Sept 10, 2011 with the season ending on or about October 15, 2011.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The cost is $10.00.
Q. Do the players get a uniform?
A. Yes, all players get a jersey, shorts, and socks.
Q. When does registration start?
A. Registration will start on Monday, July 18, 2011 and ends on Monday, August 15, 2011.
Q. How can I get a registration form?
A. If you do not already have a form, you can download one at www.topsoccerms.com. Simply fill out the form and mail it in on or before August 15, 2011.
Q. How do the players get to the games?
A. Unfortunately we cannot provide transportation. The parent or school must provide transportation.
